Phishers using DNS servers to lure victims?

10 dns servers?

idunno, but the isp for which i work has 4 but 2 are publicly advertised. i run 1 with about 4 different domain names so that would leave 5. who is running the other 5? if you mean root servers... here is the list that my dns server checks against:
A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
B.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
C.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
D.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
E.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
F.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
G.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
H.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
I.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
J.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
K.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
L.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.
M.ROOT-SERVERS.NET.

my dns server caches lookups from the root servers and my computers on my lan look to my server for domain resolution. i have no idea if my dns is caching good info from the root servers, so hopefully they are keeping them secure. your isp provides dns servers, usually 2, and it sounds like, if i read the story right, that the issue lies there somewhere. my dns servers are mostly set up for my domains. i run my own dns for them.
