You really are not totally secure
If you didn't write protect your hosts file, you are still vulnerable. I went one step further, I wrote down all my favorite websites on the wall facing me with the octet numbers. So when I do a google search, I type in 64.233.187.99. I also do a traceroute to make sure. In this world there is danger in every keystroke. silly
