They Might be able to
I set someone up on Linux. They can run as a user. A script comes in called OMG.tar.gz. They click on it to see it. It prompts them for a password. They enter it and it infects them.

In order for Linux to become as popular as windows, there will have to be automatic productive scripting. Otherwise no one wants this OS. Remember, the newbies want to have it easy, and your boss wants it now. Someone will write a script to do this. You do want your OS to become more popular? You see I can turn off scripting in windows (lock it down) and not have to suffer like you guys.

My motto is it is easier to lock down windows than to make Linux useable.
