Actually, litigation by definition would not be vigilantism. Vigilantism would be taking action outside of the legal system. It's debatable whether or not the pressure applied by the RIAA to get ISPs to turn over the names of P2P users would qualify as vigilantism (since, by a broad interpretation, a law actually gave them the tools to do that), but taking legal actions against even its customers would not be "corporate vigilantism".
