And just what are SCO, RIAA, DirecTV, and the MPAA doing? I'd consider litigation against broad numbers of their customers as corporate vigilantism. How would you expect people to react? Reach out and smack somebody and then act surprised when they feel the urge to hit back? You're obviously not from around here.

I'm not saying it's the smartest strategy or the right thing to do, all I'm saying is it's understandable. With our Congress gerrymandered to the point 3/4's of the seats have almost no chance of losing re-election there's sure no fear our elected representatives will side with the little people. Considering the boning we're already getting from government, then add the insult of having companies you do business with treating you like a criminal. Yeah, I can see how that might foment some discontent. How's that old saying go? Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. Something like that.
