Do you think any legislation will be passed...
by the congress/white house that would be distasteful to the same companies that fill their campaign coffers? Also any lawsuit to remedy victims is harder thanks to a recent law to send large class actions to federal courts.

Remember, the financial industry got extension to a federal credit reporting law last year that preempts a state from passing a stronger privacy law over a weaker federal law. Maybe politicians (even some businesses) might see this was a mistake.

Don't complain - the US has the best government money can buy.
