The very minor problem corrected by a much preferred solution. Why is the solution drastic to a minor problem? Sounds like open FUD to me. Maybe you are obsessive about security. You will never secure a newbie. Get over it

They must be educated on what to do for a better computer experiance. Those different privelages were mainly setup to control employees in a corporate setting. Malware is the norm in the residential world.

All the routers that control the internet, should do stateful packet inspection. Eliminate spoofed domains and most of this stuff goes away. All malware starts from spoofed domains. Routers are the traffic cops of the internet. Let them do it.
