I agree ... corporate shield is the problem
It should be MUCH easier to sue corporate officers and board members PERSONALLY for ACTUAL damages sustained due to gross negligence or even criminal actions on their part. The corporate shield should protect them only in the case of legitimate business activity such as legitimate financial failure on the part of the corporation, but in cases like this, they should bear personal risk when people are damaged financially by their negligent management decisions.
