I did not pay a dime...
for the totally functional and solid OS I am using. So as a legal precaution in this age of litigation, there is a 'use at your own risk' warning, appropriately so. Why would anybody want to pay damages for something they slaved over and gave away free?! Listen Loverkock, get Billy's thingy out of your mouth and have a sip of reality coffee. There are so many people that relied on Micro$h*t, only to loose oodles of money, time and data because of them. When you read the 'use at your own risk' in a Micro$h*t EULA, take it very seriously and literally! I am finding, the more I get to know Linux, I am trusting it far more than my former OS. Trust wins customers and loyalty! Not cheap, 'on the fly' bandaids and bully tactics. >:-l
