The true cost of monopoly
IE is stuck in the past because the monopoly has no need to make it better. There are many fine browsers that don't have the flaws that IE has. Why do you think that is? The real cost of monopoly is mediocrity and IE, which once was a competitive product with Netscape, is now a monopoly product that has shown very little improvement in the past 4 years. I think MS can be innovative when they are in a competitive market. Reminds of when you could get any kind of phone you wanted from AT&T when they were the monopoly phone company. you got the phone that the monopolist gave you and you better like it. Kinda reminds of Longhorn and Palladium, you have a choice, please actually look at competitors products instead of mindlessly bashing them like Loverock.
