Open Source example

Within 12 hours of the intrusion it was announced publicly
so others could be warned. Within 24 hours the problem
was identified, and patches issued shortly after for all
major distributions.

vulnerabilities.

"Like all the recent Linux security holes?"

What the privilege escalation requiring a local user account
or the rsync daemon bug used by a limited number of

being investigated!
