A bit extreme
One doesn't have to be at the opposite extreme to counter extremists, although most here seem to assume one must be so. A sign of rising intolerance and declining debate skills, I guess. sad

I wouldn't say I would NEVER blame Microsoft for anything. There are plenty of things Microsoft does that can be criticized. But in the case of spyware and other malware, there is plenty of blame to go around. My take is, if there weren't people who code such things either for the thrill or as an act of protest against Microsoft, the 'holes' in Windows and IE wouldn't matter. Just like if there weren't burglars, doors wouldn't need locks. Idealistic, I know, but I refuse to absolve rogue coders of responsibility for their actions.
