Spooky!
I love eBay and online banking and hate to think how much time I'd be spending writing checks and managing recurring transactions without my 'puter and the web. We'll never get away from electronic transactions, they're a fact of life and the economy now. I think the slimy low-lifes that prey on honest people should be caught and boiled in oil !! But since that is unlikely, the best bet is to educate yourself and learn to use the best tools available to secure your system. Note the plural "tools" because no one product can do it all - yet. I use Zone Alarm Pro, Web Root Spysweeper, HijackThis, Ad-Aware, Spy-bot S&D, RegScrubXP, Xteq, regedit, etc. regularly and still wonder about what is lurking in my machine. Better yet, get a Mac or a Linux box ! It's time to tell the slumbering giant Microsoft that we have had enough of their sloppy software, thank you very much. The only way to truly get to a large corporation like that is through their wallet. When thay see their market share slipping away they may wake up.
