I'm one...
I love shopping online, but have curtailed all my online shopping. I'm extremely computer literate, and have always ran protected, yet around 2 years ago, I somehow managed to download a poorly written trojan that loaded a keystroke logger into my computer.
Again, I point out it was badly written. It did put the keystroke logger DLL in the right place, but it did not successfully install it, so I was never infected. But I could have been. That fact, and the fact that it took 1.5 years before one of my protection programs finally got an update that recognized it, makes me rather leary about shopping online anymore.
I mean, I went for 1.5 years with a keystroke logger on my system, and nothing detected, or warned me about it. (Way to go Norton AV 2004 and Ad-Aware!). What finally found it? Heh, AVAST antivirus.
Pretty sad when a free program outdoes a 49.95$ program.
Could this happen to you? You bet your schweet aspirin!
