California - Lawsuit Capital of the Country?
*sigh* we have lots of lawsuits but I think other states have similar lawsuit problems -- Madison County, Illinois for example, the "asbestos litigation" capital of the United States.

I don't know whether any of my information was compromised (being amongst the avid internet shoppers in California) but my general credit is sooooooooo bad, no one could "identity theft" me to their benefit.

The abuse of personal information and the lack of interest in identifying, prosecuting and punishing identity thieves on the part of private industry AND the law enforcement community is appalling. Shall we start a grassroots internet movement? We ARE registered voters, right?
