You must be hard on phones. I have had my Kyocera for years and it has none of the "features" you mentioned. Except for the power connector I guess but I only have one phone and it came with an adaptor.
I have found the Kyocera to be very rugged, get banged around in my purse all the time. It has gotten wet sevral times.
