- Normally I don't respond to these spats...
-
I don't normally waste my time responding to garbage, but I have a little time and be glad to
entertain all of us for a few...
Zen? Did I hit a nerve? lol.
My bluff? I am in forties dood and rather educated. Who are YOU to question my online writing or etiquette! You would be here 'all day long' trying to correct people's writing and grammar! Oh! You ARE here all day long... [waste!]
You run a company filled with Macs? ahahahah! What's it called, the "middle school computing empire"? lol.
You think for the last 30 years I sat in a cubicle, scratching my bush with DOS or VAX? Actually, I was sitting in many foxholes throughout the world until the 80's, which then, I was sitting in a cubicle with a UNIX mainframe in Indianapolis working for the Treasury Dept.
PDP-11? Who really cares that you worked on dinosaurs. I could name a few from the military that would not make sense to you, but were part of the life-line of computing today! We aren't talking godzilla macs here, we're talking computers controlling gyros and hydraulics! This was in the 70's mister!
Now Zen, we must correct YOUR online grammar and understand that it is in poor online character to slam at an unknown person on the Internet for no good reason.
[your first quote]
"First off, let's bring your posting up to the level that any 6th-grade English teacher would require:"
"First off" is a very poor use of English. You should correct this with: First of all. Your insinuation leaves off to first, which doesn't make sense in MY vocabulary or the English language. Go ASK your 6th-grade English teacher. Oh! it's a slang? Hmmmmm.
"Let's bring your posting up to level" is very poor sentence structure and bad grammar! You are attempting rhetoric in a simple sentence. I suppose you were nervous when you wrote that, so we will allow it this one time!
See, I could sit here all day like you and dissect every word, syllable and sentence you write. Would that be good nature? Naw! Instead, I will leave this in void... By the way, Macs are nothing but a glorified Tandy 1000. :)~
I'll admit they have been trying to break into the real computing world for the last 20 years, but the normal market will never buy them. Sorry! My professional opinion!
[disclaimer] I won't be back to this article to read your followup bashing contest. Goodbye! Adios! And you just made my list of [snip]'s! I like to read professional or comical responses (you were close on the comical), but ignorance just don't cut it! - Posted by: DarbyOhara Posted on: 12/10/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
