amen
our users understand when they call in even if irate. they will heed our advice about cleaning their system and the tools they can use in the future to protect their systems. we turn them back on immediately and they are happy.
people say dont make the user be responsible... here it comes...

if you are driving a car down the road and it is dropping parts and dripping fluids and is potentially unsafe to you and others, then you will be fined. if it drops something and my tire gets popped then i will be angry at whoever the culprit is. since i might not know it was your car, i will just be angry. if your computer is dropping stuff on the internet, then yes you are the responsible party. there are free and pay tools out there. but watch out. get what you pay for doesnt exist in this sense. there are paid adware scanners that place adwarez on your system.

go figure.
