I would agree with you that for the technically inclined...
...this is a social problem. However, my clients (in fact, all of my clients) don't see it that way. They perceive it as a technology problem. The technology either works as the salesman at Best Buy told them it would, or it doesn't. They won't consider any "social issues." Esoteric "social issues" are distasteful to them, especially since these "social problems" weren't revealed at the point of sale (and never will be, for obvious reasons of Human Nature).

A smart phone or a Macintosh, however, currently has none of these "social issues" and enables commerce to proceed.

In a way, Anton, the great unwashed masses of Small Business Owners are at once more primitive--and yet more sophisticated--than we. While we waste valuable time in ineffective arguing over "social problems," they've cut right to the direct solution--jump to something else which works. Beautiful in its simplicity, and the Balance of Commercial Nature is resolutely restored.
