Microsoft has licensed Roxio burning for MediaPlayer...

... and Roxio has indicated it'll be getting out of the software business, probably by a sale.

I'd take no satisfaction in people becoming disaffected with pc's because of malware they installed with permission and device drivers that needed more work. Microsoft does test device drivers.
When these refugees arrive at other devices, they'll find the malware profiteers waiting for them.

I think the fact we have to start from is: users have to respect their computers as a complex but essential tool. They also have to consider knowledge of the computer an asset rather than declasse.

This to me is a social problem, not a software problem.
