If you'd bothered to actually read the article, you'd realize this data was lifted by bad guys posing as legitimate businesses. It has absolutely notheing to do with what computers the data was stolen from. If I create a fake company, then pay for access to ChoicePoint's database, you could have the data on the Fort Knox of computerdom, and I'd still be walking away with it, BECAUSE I PAID FOR IT (under false pretenses, of course).
