With so many "security" products on the market
and every security software and/or hardware developer telling us they have the answer, why is the problem worse than ever?

The user/consumer once again is taken for a long ride down a dark dead end street. IT providers have become the world's best propoganda spewers of all time. In the spirit of make money at all costs, these companies are purposely leading the user to believe there is a software solution that will keep his PC safe from harm. And all he/she has to do is buy the product and never worry again.

And once again the industry is ignoring the user's role in this mess and the user's responsibility. Until the user is made to accept the fact that they are the only player in this game that can assure their PC's safety, the problem will just get worse as the security industry gets richer at the expense of the uneducated user.

FACT - the IT world will continue to spiral into disaster unless the PC user is made to understand the responsibility they assume when they set at a PC surfing the Internet. I'm sure most users will do anything to dodge this responsibility, as they contribute to the havoc costing consumers untold $$$'s from fighting the trash on the Internet.

Are the majority of IT users just so stupid they can't see the situation is getting worse as we follow this current method of security? Between the goverment which hasn't clue one regarding IT and the user which is too lazy or stupid, We are in some deep ooze.
