Sorry, but if Microsoft had an established design to their operating system in the first place that would have had these multiuser items in mind, there would be far less problems with applications that require administrative log-ins to work.

Second, by default, most application designs should be in a locked down state and require IT Administration to set up proper connectivity between server and software. Default ports are a bad idea in application design.

Third web designers who build around active x controls should be dealt with execution style.

Fourth, Management should lock down Internet access to only those who jobs require it. By Default Internet access should be locked. It is here, and it helps out.

Fifth, regardless of policy, Administration shouldn't have to babysit every application installation. Some of us have other tasks to do. I do agree that some wall papers, smilies, and screen savers should be removed from the workplace, and I wish Microsoft allowed control over this in every product they have, not just the Windows XP Pro lines.
