Doomed?
Interesting isn't it? Microsoft gets so many black eyes for viruses, spyware, fill in the blank. Yet nothing is actually on the horizon that looks like it will unseat them for quite some time. Mac probably could but it doesn't seem like Jobs wants to. Linux still has too far to go to become an acceptable desktop replacement for the masses. (In my opinion) So in the mean time, we're stuck wondering just how long this can go on...
