you have no rights to take the law into your own hands. Why - repercussions if you make a mistake.Ruin someones life, cause the internet to go down in a area, cause communictaion necessary during a surgury(which may result in death), and plenty other examples. That's why the authorities must do it. They can do it without causing a system wide attack or dropout from legal sites or IP ranges. They can do it without causing harm to innocent people.

you don't have a right to kill someone because they are a murder. you may only if they are attempting to kill you (in self defense) but in my country, you cannot use equivalent force (or a greater one) but must use a lesser force (otherwise it's manslaughter for you - albeit it you serve a short sentence for it)

To save someone's life - do you get to speed (and possibly kill people) just to save another live?...no. you must stay within the law to protect other lives (imagine killing someone while on route to save another...that's why there are laws for everything. Follow them.)
