Laws don't cross borders, scammers do
While I think it is unethical to maliciously hack or deny service, I am sympathetic. There are no USA laws that be used to combat anti-spamming and phishing tactics that are initiated outside the US borders. Many countries that host phishsers, spyware and adware scum have no laws against this activity. Saying that the law will take care of this is naive at best, negligent at worst. No US law will ever stop a phisher.
