Truth be told...
It was only a month or so before MS bought them that I heard about them. Found a link to a web site that compared antispyware tools (can't find the link now, it's obviously several months old so...). Anyway, before that Adaware and SpyBot S&D were my tools of choice. Giant outscored both of those so I gave it a try and liked it. Then MS bought them and the rest is history...
