Ever feel like you are talking to a brick wall?
I feel your pain. It seems that people with extremely poor reading comprehension skills just skim picking out the words they want to read. When you say

why our apps which are "Windows Apps" use ActiveX but NOT IE and are NOT susceptible to the same security issues!

and they seem to see

our apps use IE and are NOT susceptible to security issues!

You never once say that "IE is not integrated into Windows" yet you get a response desperately trying to prove that it is. It would be like me reading your post and then trying to prove that George Bush is evil. Oh, wait, that does happen here. Yikes! wink

To those with a higher than grade 1 reading level:
ActiveX is nothing more, nothing less, than a way of displaying visual COM components in a container. The exact same ActiveX component can be inserted into a web page, a VB application, a C++ application, even a C# application. ActiveX isn't built into IE, it is the ability to interface with ActiveX that is built into IE (and can easily be turned off). Saying that a flaw in an ActiveX control is a flaw in IE is like saying a flaw in Acrobat Reader is a flaw in Firefox.
