Yes, and the world (whoops, the English-speaking and writing world - because nobody else really counts) would be ever so much more secure if URLs were rendered in, say, Esperanto.

I agree that this is a problem, but saying that supporting other character sets is a security issue is a bit disingenuous. The non-English writing world (which makes up the vast majority of the population) has a legitimate beef over the fact that almost no other character set other than roman is supported on the Internet.

Eventually MS IE will have to provide support for other encoding. Good thing that the "alternative" browser makers will have done all of the heavy lifting. Again.
