What about the severity of the bugs?
If you cast a 'double' type to a 'float', you may lose some data (depending on the value of the variable). This is not necessarily going to produce a bug. The compiler will issue a warning, but may still compile the program depending on the flags used. This would be counted as a flaw by the evaluation program.

If a function allocates memory in the free store and doesn't free it up when it's finished, this will produce a memory leak. Definitely a serious bug. If this is an iterative or recursive function, you could be on the fast track to a GPF on Windows or a segfault on UNIX. This would be counted as a flaw by the evaluation program.

If you are careless with functions using networking, you could have a major security hole opened up. This is a critical bug. This would be counted as a flaw by the evaluation program.

There are three examples of bugs that have clearly different serverity levels. Are they each counted equally as 'one' flaw?
