This isnt a troll...
..but 2 reports dont make a trend. As was said quite clearly by many after the Linux report by this company, this is absolutly useless information. We dont know what they are comparing against, plus what other similar products are they testing against on the OSS side? What about PostgreSQL or Firebird? What proprietary DB's are they comparing this with? MSSQL? Oracle's offerings? How feature rich is MySQL versus what they are comparing?

Going back to the previous report from them where they said they tested the Linux kernel, Linux kernel versus what? All of Windowsincluding the GUI and all other stuff that are prety much bolted together? BSD? OS/2? What?

And as far as the asumption from 2 reports that OSS developers are better the proprietary ones..you realize you are basing this off 2 pieces of software versus how many? Thousands?

The same question may arise when they test Apache and PHP. What will they test against?

As far as bashing the quality of OSS, I am not and very few do. I am typing this on Firefox for heavens sake. Its just that this report stinks of FUD being used to generalize OSS.
