Very simple
If NBC sent someone to hide in my house to find out if I was watching the commercials, I would have a serious problem with that. Even if they asked first, I would have a serious problem with that. And its still wrong if they sneak in through a hole that I didn't know about. I don't see why its any different for my PC.
