You are kidding right?
If a see a car running with the keys in the ignition, my first thought is "Oh I am going to steal this car." That thought does not cross my mind.

It is called living in a civilized society. Do onto others as you would have them do unto you. Do you go and rape women because they dress sexy. Hey they brought it on themselfs, right. Give me a break.

This guys wanted to bring computers down. He wanted to bring down more than the 50,000 computers that were infected. If he was not caught he probably would have kept doing it. I think he should have gotten the full sentence in a minimum security prison. Spare me the it is the parents fault and he had now friends crap. He was 16-17 when he did it. He knew what he was doing.

And for those of you saying that this would never had happened if Admins did not use Windows. This is not about what operating system is more secure. This is about idiots that intentionally want to do damage to other peoples property and boast about what they did so they can feel good about themselfs. Does not matter if you have Windows, Apple, Linux...whatever. These people need to know that this will not be put up with and harsh sentences are the way to go, IMHO.
