Which one of those 2 is FUD?"
1. I would consider "if you don't use Linux you will get hit with viruses/worms/spyware/adware" a mronish statement and therefore it contradicts your premise.
2. I have seen no one I would consider a Linux proponent, but not a zealot, make such a statement. I have heard some concerning relative risk and the differences in the frequency of attack, but not the blanket statement you make.
3. Finally, by attributing such statements to the "Linux camp," are you not engaging in your own FUD campaign?
I submit that there are a number of reasons that have caused me to explore Linux.
