Laff: I think I understand now, thank you
If I understand your point correctly, you are saying that I can't dismiss the millions of Windows users who have a terrible personal experience with their Windows machine. You are right, I can't, but I can offer them a solution: follow 3 simple steps and everything will be much better. The solution from the Linux/OSX proponents is: buy a new machine, throw out all your existing software, learn a new OS, and everything will be much better.

I don't hold up the fact that I have experienced a secure and enjoyable Windows experience. I hold up the fact that this has been achieved VERY easily and is certainly within the grasp of any Windows neophyte. I offer my experience and the ease that I was able to achieve that experience as a counter point to those saying that the only way users will ever be secure is if they dropped Windows.
