These are concepts that, by education or shear laziness, are beyond the average user. One thing a Linux Ditro has over Windows is that the install prompts for an Admin account and a User account PLUS automatically gives the User account reduced priviledges. Additionally, it is much easier to get into the Admin account when it is necessary.

While I agree with your comments in general, it is the OS that gets closest to your ideal by default install that will be the more secure, because it does not rely on non-technical users being able to configure their own security.
