Microsoft : You already paid us, read the EULA and ....
.... swivel !

If - You wouldn't buy a car with 23 know, un-addressed flaws, any one of which could allow someone else to control your car when you were driving it -

If - Your brand new, out of the showroom car wasn't fit or safe to drive until AFTER you had paid for 3rd party bolt ons to protect it from external attacks -

If - The food you bought was regularly infested with worms and maggots, and you never knew when a new one would wriggle in and poison you

If - The maggoty food seller wouldn't hand over a pie until you had signed an agreement that absolved the seller of any responsibility for food poisoning or sickness

and If - you would do all those things, then go on a public list and brag about it,

You really should install Windows. Just look at what you get !#

* You must agree to the Microsoft EULA, which absolves Microsoft from absolutely anything, from the destruction of your data to the non-functioning of the code you paid for. Cool!

* Windows is insecure right out of the box! Attach a bare Windows machine to the net and it will be infected with one of the 100,000 Windows specific exploits within 20 minutes!!!

* Spend spend spend on 3rd party applications without which your PC is un-useable!!! Never mind the cost, Microsoft simply ignore it, and so should you! Anti-virus, firewalls, spyware destroyers ... although Microsoft are currently planning to integrate these services into the OS - and charge you for them - in the meantime, spens, spend spend!!!
