forgot to mention...
how come people try to liken hacking with running in an open garage door? computer security and house security are similar but quite different. you would actually have to say that when you open a door or window that an invisible person walked in with you. as you can see someone run into your garage, you can run over them while youre pulling in. if you keep a pistol/shotgun/etc under your pillow, you can open fire. if someone is in your computer, you dont usually know for a while. you have to actively search every room to find out what they may have left behind. look for holes big enough to crawl through etc.
