your analogies make no sense.
we arent praising the criminals. we are putting admins in their place. ive been hacked. it was a flaw in a program i tested. it was my fault for not removing it. i wiped and started over. have been hack free since. this isnt an issue of some kid forcefully hackin machines. this is a virus that scanned the net looking for unlocked computers. taking them over (without intervention) and then using those unlocked computers to look for more unlocked computers. why do you leave such ports open to the internet? do you need to share files over the internet using samba (or windows file shares for the windows people). not i.
so if you got pwned by the virii, then wah. get over it and take better measures next time. now if we are talking someone forcefully gaining access to your system, thats a different story. - Posted by: linuxoverwindows Posted on: 01/29/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
