- They're already 4 weeks backed up and getting further behind.

Target was going to sell them but backed out because the
delivery date could not be guaranteed. The irony of this is that
unlike high end G5s, the Mac mini is pretty low tech and uses
basically iBook parts. Therefore getting processors or certain
parts for manufacturing should be easy. Motorola has been
pushing low power consumption, cool running processors for
years. The G4 while maybe not a dinosaur is a very mature chip.
That means that while it may not break any speed records the
computer should be very dependable and the size creates a
different type of functionality. Apple sometimes misses, but I
think they made a hit with this machine. It's the size and the
stability of OSX that drive the market for this machine as well as
the price. These little machines are going places we haven't even
thought of yet. Apple should partner with a PC manufacturer to
really mass produce these things. HP would be cool. They
already sell iPods and it would be a good way for them to get
even with Dell for making cheap ripoffs of their printers. - Posted by: MacGeek2121 Posted on: 01/27/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
