Think Before You Click
Maybe attachment instructions should be glued to every newbies computer saying "Don't open email attachments".

I got a virus once , don't remember which one, it was many years ago and I've slept since then. A friend formatted my computer for me and told me to never open an attachment unless I knew before hand that I was going to receive it and exactly what it contained.

Since then I have deleted many legit emails with attachments and sent emails to the sender telling them that I did not open their attachment and asked what they sent. Most were resent and opened. Many were infected and the sender had no idea their computer had a virus.

I don't have virus protection software on my computer and don't expect to ever have any, or anymore viruses. Maybe the viruses and worms originate from the anti-virus software developers to create a market for their product?

Anyways the little buggers are going to be around until people learn to think before they click because there will always be a crack in the anti-virus software for the bad guys to find. Just like all the so-called security flaws in Microsoft's stuff. Fix one hole in the fence and the fox will find another hole to get in the chicken coop.
