RE: Sheesh...
My users are people. People make mistakes, especially with technology. It's not my place to call them idiots. It is my place to help them through the problem, then teach them how to avoid it the next time.

Yes, people who should learn once they've been told 100 times what a right-click is, or what the term "desktop" refers to.

True people make mistakes, the difference is whether they're willing to LEARN, that is the difference. The statistic I gave before is high, however, the people who I help, generally speaking, they're willing to learn how to use software more efficiently and effectively so that they can do more work in a day with less effort.

As I said to one person, "don't work harder, work smarter". Go down to you local book store, grab a book and read it for 1 1/3 hours per-day. I am sure *ANYONE* can put aside 1 1/2 hours in their day when they get home instead of watching TV.

In my *OWN* time *I* tutor employees. I don't get paid for what I do. I am not some sort of battle axe, I just can't stand people who don't put in a decent effort. I like helping people who are willing to help themselves. If they're willing to put in the effort and learn, I am more than happy to put some hourse in myself. Many of these people are now able to help their work mates when they get into a pickle.

I am not a naturally IT orientated person, yet, I was able to teach myself how to programme in Java (J2SE, learning J2EE right now), VB and learn how to administrate various operating systems. All this was done in my own help and out of a book.
