Requery of the IT Industry
Being a member of the IT industry, having been on both sides of the glass in management and below, I am very curious as to the results of the poll if the companies were requeried. This time, instead of querying from the top, start at the bottom. I think that you will find that the results are very different, hinting to a deeper, unspoken problem.

I have worked for lots of companies in various markets, some local to the neighborhood and some global (Shell Chemical Co.). One thing that I have seen as a constant follows:

Companies that really employ TQM thrive. Companies where the core problem sets differ greatly when you query management and when you ask the subordiantes fail for one of three reasons.

1) There is no TQM set in place at all.
2) The managers are not responsive to the information given by workers.
3) The workers are not given quality, truthful feedback

I think that this will be a great addition to this article, or even a great individual article.
