The statement regarding most spam originating
from the large webmail providers is not supported by the spam traffic going thru my mail server. In fact, very little spam comes from services provided by ISP's. Nearly all spam hitting my mail server and the mail servers of a business partner is delivered from two sources: poorly managed open relay servers and infected computers. In the last year, I can recall two pieces of spam being delivered from an IP address providing services for a major ISP. And I scan logs daily for IP address of offenders so my spam filters can be updated.

This guy is just PO'd because these ISP don't just fling open their doors so he can invade the privacy of their patrons. Instead they wish to protect privacy. Something that no too long ago was held to be ones right to expect.

We have laws in this country that were enacted to assure that the rights of the innocent could not be revoked at the whim of law enforment in the name of law enforcement. Tactics this jerk are proposing are practiced regularly by KGB and were practiced regularly by the Gestapo. And now, in this country, the rights of the innocent have become expendable in the name of law enforcement. Identical to the practices of KGB and Gestapo. IDENTICAL.
