The actual code? Maybe not...
... but it certainly shows flaws in the overall design and the conceptual way MS approaches it. I've been using Windows 95 and later for years and hacking the registry to get things done or fix things for nearly as long. The fact is the complexity of the registry and the interrelationships can cause substantial problems. I've fixed major problems a number of time by restoring an earlier version of the registry file. NO other changes. I agree that the Unix way may not be the only right way. I'm not that knowledgeable about programming to say otherwise. But the weight of my experience tells me that the registry way is definitely the wrong way.
