Just buy a Mac. You get an OS that is feature rich like Windows, AND secure like Linux. The rich environment of Windows with the simplicity of Unix, what a great deal. The problem of course is that many critical applications are prevented from running on Macs by the Windows monopoly, but given time, that will change.
