So yuor arguement is...
"Unix varients, having been designed for text on more powerful iron, were designed with stability and security in mind, rather than features and efficiency."

It is Windows for features and efficiency and Linux for stability and security, then my response is that the most secure and stable OS in the world is no good if it doesn't have the features I need.
