Use some common sense
In the mechanical world the more complex a mahcine is the more likely it is to break. Compare a car to a bike.

Windows is complex and therefore more prone to problems. That's just common sense. Now there is no need for Windows to be as complex as it it to just work. They made it complex to lock in thier market. This is nothing new, car companies do the same thing. But when you have alternatives that do the same job that are not as complex you have a better product under the hood, less things can go wrong. That's just common sense.

Now after some 10 years of Windows it's hard to just ditch you investment for something entirely differnt so you live with the problems and complain loudly to deaf ears.
