The issue is not if there are flaws. All SW has flaws. The issue is when those flaws appear, do you have a development model that allows you to isolate and fix problems in a reasonable time frame. Object Oriented Design and Modular Component Assembly are two of many approaches that do the same thing. Build small uncomplicated peices and attach them to each other to help isolate bugs. It isolates them in two different ways. First, by isolating functions, when there is an issue with a function, you can go to the specific module that controls it, fix it, and release the patch. Second, if there is a flaw, it is often isolated by it's module so that the effects of the flaw are much less far reaching.

These are exactly the kinds of benefits Microsoft has engineered OUT of their software in order to acquire business leverage.

If you choose to make decissions for your business that sacrifice quality and positively impact market share, that is your right as a business owner, just ask Walmart, but to claim that you build and sell only the best quality when it is patently untrue on a variety of levels is disingenuous at best.
