Check out Spoofstick for Moz & IE as Well
Already available is a free plugin for Thunderbird, & IE from CoreStreet called SpoofStick which adds a toolbar to the browser header that displays only the most relevant domain information, rather than the obfuscated long URL where the redirection to a "foreign" website may literally be off the screen. Btw, it seems to work just fine, thank you, in Mozilla 1.x as well!
Unfortunately, none of these precautions will work for the totally clueless among us, who, dispite warnings displayed on their screens, will blithely fill out whatever official-looking form appears on their screens.
